For a client I went to Jakarta and Bali. My first visit to the Indonesia.
I had only a week and had to portrait some students doing an abroad Internship. 1,5 day Jakarta and the rest of the week in Denpasar Bali and I’d time to walk around like a tourist with my FujiFilm X-E2. Most of the time I uses the FUJINON LENS XF18-55mm F2.8-4 R LM OIS. For some close-ups I had the Fujifilm XF 55-200mm F 3.5-4.8 R LM OIS.
It’s a relieve to travel light and not looking like a pro with the Nikon DSLR’s. With the Fuji you can photograph very inconspicuous and you can easily photograph at high ISO, like 3200.
We went to a bar named Skye. Located in the heart of Jakarta, on the 56th floor, with a great skyline of Jakarta. There was a strange policy about photographing from the roof. It was forbidden to use a pro camera, only with your cellphone. So I asked the security if the Fuji was a pro. I made a lousy picture, and said look not much, isn’t it? 🙂 So I was allowed to use it. And I screwed up the ISO and made I great handheld photo 😉
Then we left the hectic city Jakarta and went to Denpasar, Bali. Completely another atmosphere. Laid back and very friendly people.

There was some time left to see something from the environment.

We had also the change to visit an Orphanage where some students did there Internship.
Wat een mooie foto’s, het licht, het contrast, het valt erg mooi.
Goed bezig!
Dank Roelf! Was een korte maar mooie trip
